AUTUMN TERM 2011
TSOD will be launching our brand new Performing Arts Class on Tuesday 4th October 2011 at Thame Football Partnership from 6.15pm to 7pm. Each Class costs just £4.50, but TSOD students who attend two or more dance disciplines can attend this Class for just £4. Spaces are limited, so please contact us as soon as possible to book your FREE session!
* Young Stars Academy *
You will be pleased to know that TSOD will be holding a Halloween themed 'Young Stars Academy' during October Half Term. You will receive a flyer with further details on dates and venues during Classes, and we'll pop it up here on the website too.
* Summer Show DVDs *
Quick note to all those who pre-ordered DVDs from our Summer Show, 'Cirque du TSOD', to say that as soon as we have them we will be distributing them to you - please bear with us for a little longer! DVDs can still be ordered if you haven't already done so, just ask one of your Teachers.
* New Classes *
As well as teaching over 400 children each week at 40 different Classes, TSOD is still continuing to expand - we plan to branch out to New Classes in High Wycombe and Clifton Hamden, as well as keeping our contacts with Wheatley Park at the John Watson site, where we teach children with learning difficulties to dance.
Other New Classes at this venue are Babies Ballet, Street Tap and Junior Ballet, all held with Kerry on Saturday mornings. Depending upon demand, there is also the possibility of holding a TSOD Musicality Class (see below).
* New Venues *
The most exciting news TSOD have been given this term (so far!!) is that we are able to move our popular Aylesbury Classes to the stunning new venue of the Nuffield Gym. Classes moving to this venue are Wednesday Cheer with Nathan (moving from the Aylesbury Multicultural Centre) and Stret and Cheer with Nathan and Tyler (moving from the Fairford Leys Community Centre).
* Christmas Show Date and Prize Givings *
As you probably saw in the Newsflash on our Home Page, our Christmas Show this year will be held on Sunday 4th December 2011 at the Thame Leisure Centre. All those who take Street Dance and Cheerleading Classes will be taking part.
Children who attend Babies Ballet, Junior Ballet and Street Tap will be taking part in Prize Givings at Classes, and Intermediate and Senior Ballet and Street Tap will be doing their annual Choreography Competitions, all during the last week of term, beginning Monday 5th December 2011.
* Uniform *
Just a reminder that our Uniform Page has been updated, so please go have a look to find out what is available.
We would like to try and encourage all of our students who are settled into their Classes to purchase TSOD uniform - we try our best to keep all of our prices reasonable in order for people to do this more easily.
If not wearing correct TSOD uniform it is important that suitable dance wear is worn, sticking to the chosen colours (Pink, Black, White, Purple or Grey) as well as correct footwear (i.e. Street Dance and Cheer - Dance Sneakers, Trainers or Plimsolls; Ballet Shoes and Tap Shoes as appropriate).
The wearing of denim is strictly against the rules, unless your Teacher is given a suitable explanation before the Class by either pupil or parent / guardian.
You may place any orders with any of your Teachers, preferably in writing to ensure we have the correct details, and payment must be made when you place your order.
New Cheerleading Classes will be starting at Bicester Community Centre starting on Saturday 8th October 2011 from 11.15am to 12 noon. Due to the positioning of this Class the times for Intermediate Street and Street Tap Classes will need to change slightly as of this date. Class times will be:
- Junior Street - 10.30am to 11.15am
- Cheer - 11.15am to 12 noon
- Intermediate Street - 12 noon to 12.45pm
- Street Tap - 12.45pm to 1.15pm
